Sneaking in...

Sometimes, you just need to make time. Even in the rain.

As was the case this weekend...when I had the chance to shoot Ben, Genevieve, and Logan. Ben had been unexpectedly been reactivated recently to the middle east for a 12 month tour. After starting his training, he made a surprise visit home to his family a few days ago -- and it just so happened that we were both able to carve out some time to shoot their family while Logan is little and Ben is home.

I shot to simply capture them together.

And for the record, Genevieve is a awesome mom - who can pull giggles from her son and loves to see her two boys together.

I loved this shoot.

Some of my favorites...

Taking steps with Mom towards Dad...

How can you not love seeing Logan next to Chappie, and his gigantic doggy tongue?

And I saved my personal favorite for the very end...

Logan kissing his daddy's hand. ♥ ♥ ♥

Sweet Little Anaya

It's so hard to believe that Anaya is nine months old now! She's growing by leaps and bounds, and is holding herself up so well. This is her fourth shoot of the Signature Baby Plan...and I love to see how she's changed since she was just a few weeks old.

How can you not love her little curls? They started out as waves nine months ago...

All snuggled in...

Miss Ellie made her arrival into the world a few weeks early...and she's captured the hearts of her mom and dad!
One of my favorite joys is shooting the evolving family of my clients: from their engagement to their wedding and now to their first child! Deb and Ryon are such a joy to shoot, and I can't wait to photograph their little girl as grows over her first two years.
She is so beautiful in her little girlyness at two weeks old. A few of my favorites to share...

Welcoming our little one...

Just a quick note to let you know that we welcomed our little one, Thomas Lawrence Sprouffske, into the world last Thursday.

He was born at 5:38 a.m., weighing in at 7 pounds, 11 ounces...and a full head of hair!

We've had an adventure with him over these first few days...and there's a number of stories on our family blog if you'd like a bit more information.

We have been so blessed with a fantastic hospital staff and the prayers and support of our family and friends. We are hoping he will come home from the hospital sometime mid-week, if he continues improving as well as he has so far!

From our hearts, thank you! ♥

The chill is in the air...

...as it's probably about 26° or 28° for this shoot!
In December, arranged for the timing of Austin's return from Texas. Just check out how both Austin and Paige have grown over the past six months...I loved this shoot.
I simply can't believe it's been four years since their first shoot. If you have a moment, you'll need to look back over their past shoots to see how much they've grown since they moved back up to north Tacoma.

Can you believe how much Austin has grown? He's now a wrestler on his high school team, the hair's cut short...

One of my favorite things...when asked what was the most significant thing that has happened to him this year, he said "My mom. She gave me the freedom to move to Texas even though I know she wanted me up here...and it was exactly what I needed."
That's an awesome mom for you. She loved her son enough to let him go...and it is truly amazing what her gift to him brought forth.

And the three together...

A flash back to summer...

With all the snow and rain and gloominess we've been having, why not show a little sunshine and warmth? A glimpse at two shoots from the summer -- June and July.
The Brownrices with four of their grandchildren. Two are making their debut on the blog... :)

Two of my very most favorite people in the world...

Classic Paige. Seriously, you won't believe the next post (from December) compared to this one. I didn't. I suppose it's the rite of passage...

But this is where the biggest changes start. Austin, just before moving to Texas this summer. Just wait to see how much he's grown...you will be so amazed.
