Avila arrived to this world fashionably late...but right when she was supposed to. She tipped the scales at 8 pounds, 14 ounces...and here's a sneak peek of her second day of life outside the womb.
I might be a little biased (and she might have a really super fabulous aunt who will photograph her until she's tired of cameras)...but I think you might agree with me...
She's simply beautiful.
My favorite photo of Mike with her...
On the changing table that her grandpa built.
How much do I love wrinkly little baby feet?
A proud grandma...three generations...
Avila mistaking the purpose of Mike's nose...
Snuggly little pout...
I like to think of this like the scene from The Lion King... :)
Sporting gifts from the grandmas...the hat is from Grandma Salber, and the shirt from Grandma Mauss...
"If Mommy says "no", ask Grandma!"
Isn't this the perfect expression to match?!?

Once again you have outdone yourself- of course having such a precious subject can't hurt! :)
Wow, life is such a sweet thing.
Wow! Just, Wow.
How amazing are these pictures? She is beautiful, and such a lovely match of her parents. Thanks for sharing this miracle in such a lovely way.
Isn't being an aunt just awesome?
Shelley - I swear you make me just want to have a baby so you photograph her or him. Wow...amazing and baby Avila is soooo beautiful.
Rachel Bailie : )
So flipping cute!!!! I love the Lion King shot, but I really love the 3 generations shot & the way she is just looking up at grandma... Have fun spoiling her:) That's the best part of aunt-hood. Lindsay
Shelley...these are breathtaking. :)
